Reflecting on Impact: Celebrating Success and Contributing to Ukraine’s Bright Future

Yesterday, the culmination of our ESF projects, CARE UDRC and CARE EUkraine, was completed by a memorable and joyful ceremony. The venue was full of former participants and partners and proved to be a testament of the impact that these initiatives have created.

The celebration was a multi-faceted event including a presentation that provided a comprehensive overview of the projects’ milestones and impacts. In addition to the presentation of results, we were honored to be joined by prominent guest speakers who shared their experiences as partners to the projects.

Andreas Flodström, co-founder of Beetroot Academy, provided advice for launching tech careers, as several graduates are now ready to work and Sofie Holmström, project-leader at War Child, spoke of the work to assist the continuation of children’s education and the need to speak about mental health. Both delivered compelling insights from working with the project participants highlighting the importance of shared initiatives.

The event created an opportunity to come together as a community and reflect on our shared achievements. During the ceremony former participants shared their experience of their journey in the projects. Several individuals spotlighted their personal benefit from the IT-education and work experience that Care EUkraine and Care UDRC has provided. Others emphasized the project’s focus on community and strengthening skills in collaboration as the most important part of their experience.

I am very grateful to Doing Good (formerly Sätt Färg på) primarily for the trust. You have entrusted practical tasks to Ukrainians, and many have received their first work contracts in Sweden, including myself. I thank you for the opportunity to learn new things, like ’Python for Beginners’ at Beetroot Academy. The knowledge I gained from these courses is assisting me in studying Python in Humanities at Linnaeus University, Sweden.

Olena Petrus. Former participant of Care UDRC & Care EUkraine. Today part of the IT team of Build Forward.

We would like to express our gratitude to all participants and partners of the project. Your continuous engagement is a testament to the strong community that has developed around these projects and it reaffirms our commitment to creating a positive impact for Ukraininans.
